ORO Downtown was founded in 2015 by Jarr Von Samuel in San Francisco. Since its inception, the business has grown successful based on the principle that when stylists have a creatively nurturing environment, their work is translated onto their clients hair. The desire to expand this principle across San Francisco was realized when Jarr partnered with stylist and best friend, Courtney Pittler, to expand into Duboce Triangle. Together, ORO Duboce was conceptualized as an upscale Art Deco-Modern space to service clients in the relaxed Duboce neighborhood.
Located adjacent Duboce park and directly across the N-line, Oro Duboce is a clean modern salon with an experienced staff. We have expanded our steadfast downtown location to the quaint neighborhood of Duboce Triangle, creating an intimate environment for our clients while maintaining the fashionable upbeat energy downtown was founded on.

Courtney knew she wanted to make people feel beautiful at an early age. She started her career at SFIEC in 2004. She initially wanted to solely do hair and makeup for photo shoots, but realized quickly the stylist/client connection was important for her sustainability in the industry. After completing the assistant program at Oxenrose, color became her focus. She specializes in balayage, a wide range of foiling techniques, and color corrections. Courtney prides herself on seeing the natural beauty in her clients and using her years of experience to enhance it.
Jarr, founder and creative director of Oro Salon, has been in the industry since 2003. At an early age, Jarr was fascinated by the power of transformation in hair styling and decided to train under Tony & Guy and Vidal Sassoon. After working in Los Angeles for a few years, Jarr relocated to San Francisco where he built his diverse clientele of San Francisco’s finest. From perfecting blondes and enriching brunettes, to evolving styles into the latest trends, Jarr finds inspiration in the ever-changing city around him. Understanding that not everyone has a hairdresser at home, he offers advice to create looks that can be achieved on your own, but specializes in making sure you feel your sexiest when you leave the salon. Jarr is known for creating sexy, lived in texture that is timeless and effortlessly chic. He can be found behind the chair at Oro Wednesday through Saturday.
Aubrey has been doing hair since 2010. She loves having variety in her clientele and especially loves doing creative color and men’s haircuts. She finds inspiration in colors and texture found in nature, and is inspired by the city around her! In her free time, she likes to make art, see live music, and spend time with her Russian tortoise Danny Brown!
Master of sexy carefree hair, the moment you meet him you become aware you're within Lee’s talented hands, ones that will allow you to realize your inner and outer beauty. He truly believes aesthetic beauty lives within our individuality, positive spirit, and the ability to look at ones distinctive features rather than flaws to unleash our full potential.

She believes in making people feel great about themselves inside and out while creating trusting relationships. Education has always been a big part of her career and she is constantly expanding her craft as well as providing her clients with the best products and regimen for their hair.
While she’s not at work, Eden loves finding great places to eat, looking for new plants and volunteering at a dog rescue.
Nora is a Bay Area native and started doing hair in 2012 at the Cinta Aveda Institute in SF. She always knew she wanted to be a hairstylist and did her first kitchen haircuts on her little sister. She specializes in dry cutting and razor cutting to create seamless haircuts on all hair types and textures, as well as natural hand painted balayage highlights.
Outside of the salon Nora enjoys making jewelry, going on adventures with her dog Frida, and traveling.
Brittany, an SF native has a passion for everything color! Brittany specializes in color and texture services (Keratin/Brazilian blowouts) and loves a good color challenge! She has been working in salons since she was 17, and makes you feel as if you’ve known her forever. Whether you’re looking for a super social appointment, or to zone out into your work - she makes magic happen everytime!
Sylvie is a stylist at ORO Duboce.
As a blonde herself, Britt has always had an affinity for creating blondes. This led to her love of lightening all different tones of hair, creating dimension and contrast in dark brunettes and elevating blondes to even lighter and brighter shades. Her satisfaction comes from knowing that the hair she does and the clients she works with leave with freshly done, bouncy soft hair that will easily give way to tomorrow’s perfectly bedhead look. As well as working in SF salons as a stylist for women, Britt is a licensed barber and has spent time working in a barbershop gaining experience to bring with her into Oro Salon.
Sam began her career as a hair stylist 10 years ago on the East Coast. She evolves her art through professional growth in advanced education, staying ahead of technique and trends with influential brands such as Toni & Guy, L'Oreal, and EVO. Her experience as a colour educator has helped her become a master in colour, and allowing her to do a variable of on trend techniques like hair painting and balayage. Sam loves helping clients feel themselves, even if that feeling and style is ever evolving in self expression! Before you leave her chair, she will make sure you have the secrets of the trade to optimize your look from home!
Oro Downtown was founded In 2015 by stylist Jarr Von Samuel. Since its inception, the business grew so successfully that a second location, Oro Duboce, was born in 2018 with cofounder Courtney Pittler. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstance of COVID-19, Oro Downtown was forced to shutter amidst the pandemic. Please visit our ’stylist’ section to contact your stylists directly to inquire of their whereabouts. Oribe Hair Care was founded by renowned editorial and celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales with the goal of creating a new kind of hair company, one that was designed with the most talented salon professionals and the most discriminating customers in mind. When developing the line, we didn’t want to compromise on any detail. We leveraged skin care technology and natural actives to deliver high-performance, treatment-based products—all while never forgetting that healthy hair is the underpinning for sexy, glamorous styling. Each product has been tested at length on set, backstage and in the salon to ensure that it delivers results, leaving us with a best-in-class collection that truly meets the needs of the hair-obsessed.
R+Co is a collective of some of the most forward-thinking, rule-bending hairstylists in the business. We advocate for stylists—and their clients—to find the point of view and style that best matches their own. All of our products are treatment-oriented, with the health of the hair and scalp always top-of-mind. We use unique ingredients and complexes to make sure that each product delivers true benefits. And everything is formulated without parabens, sulfates (SLS or SLES), mineral oil and petrolatum. They are all vegetarian, cruelty-free, gluten-free and color-safe. R+Co is about an experience. The packaging and fragrances were designed to enhance that experience and evoke a feeling, place, style or attitude. You’ll know just by looking at a bottle or tube what a product is meant to do, and the subtle yet sophisticated fragrances—meant for both men and women—are as individual as the members of our collective. We work to reduce the amount of physical material used in our packaging by eliminating unnecessary components. A large majority of the retail packaging can be recycled; check with your local recycling center.
