ORO Salon San Francisco

ORO Downtown was founded in 2015 by Jarr Von Samuel in San Francisco. Since its inception, the business has grown successful based on the principle that when stylists have a creatively nurturing environment, their work is translated onto their clients hair. The desire to expand this principle across San Francisco was realized when Jarr partnered with stylist and best friend, Courtney Pittler, to expand into Duboce Triangle. Together, ORO Duboce was conceptualized as an upscale Art Deco-Modern space to service clients in the relaxed Duboce neighborhood.
Nestled off the hustle of Union Square, ORO Downtown is located peacefully above it all on the second floor. A corner location with floor to ceiling windows brings in the lively pulse and energy of San Francisco’s Downtown. Destination shopping, convenient parking structures, walkability, and close proximity to the Financial District make this location your go to before, after, or during work!

Jarr, founder and creative director of Oro Salon, has been in the industry since 2003. At an early age, Jarr was fascinated by the power of transformation in hair styling and decided to train under Tony & Guy and Vidal Sassoon. From perfecting blondes and enriching brunettes, to evolving styles into the latest trends, Jarr finds inspiration in the ever-changing city around him. Understanding that not everyone has a hairdresser at home, he offers advice to create looks that can be achieved on your own, but specializes in making sure you feel your sexiest when you leave the salon. Jarr is known for creating sexy, lived in texture that is timeless and effortlessly chic. He can be found behind the chair at Oro Wednesday through Saturday.

Oribe Hair Care was founded by renowned editorial and celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales with the goal of creating a new kind of hair company, one that was designed with the most talented salon professionals and the most discriminating customers in mind. When developing the line, we didn’t want to compromise on any detail. We leveraged skin care technology and natural actives to deliver high-performance, treatment-based products—all while never forgetting that healthy hair is the underpinning for sexy, glamorous styling. Each product has been tested at length on set, backstage and in the salon to ensure that it delivers results, leaving us with a best-in-class collection that truly meets the needs of the hair-obsessed.
R+Co is a collective of some of the most forward-thinking, rule-bending hairstylists in the business. We advocate for stylists—and their clients—to find the point of view and style that best matches their own. All of our products are treatment-oriented, with the health of the hair and scalp always top-of-mind. We use unique ingredients and complexes to make sure that each product delivers true benefits. And everything is formulated without parabens, sulfates (SLS or SLES), mineral oil and petrolatum. They are all vegetarian, cruelty-free, gluten-free and color-safe. R+Co is about an experience. The packaging and fragrances were designed to enhance that experience and evoke a feeling, place, style or attitude. You’ll know just by looking at a bottle or tube what a product is meant to do, and the subtle yet sophisticated fragrances—meant for both men and women—are as individual as the members of our collective. We work to reduce the amount of physical material used in our packaging by eliminating unnecessary components. A large majority of the retail packaging can be recycled; check with your local recycling center.
